It includes Mitte with the historical center (namely the street “Unter den Linden” and Brandenburg Gate), Tiergarten and Wedding.
Tiergarten is named after the biggest park in Berlin with size 3 to 1 km about. You find here joggers and sun-hungry people as well as open family grill parties.
Berlin-Mitte is the place where you can meet a lot of people from all over the globe having one common purpose-to explore this great city and see as much as possible of sightseeing musts.
Wedding is a former residential area for factory workers where now a lot of ethnic groups, on the top Turkish and Arab live.
Sometimes this place is characterized as a home for
immigrants and marginalized Germans
and Germans are afraid to drive there and never park because of rumours saying that beautiful cars
will be immidiatly scratched.
Kreuzberg is the center of immigrants from Turkey where in some parts Turkish is a dominating language. Here you can feel like you are in Turkey- a lot of shops and traditional Turkish food sold everywhere. Friedrichshain is a rising district where after the neglect of East German time now shops, restaurants and clubs are arising.
This district in the Northern East has urban Prenzlauer Berg with a lot of entertainment and residences with young population.
The other parts Weissensee and Pankow are performed by their old historical centers of former towns and villages.
Pankow is the best place to grow children. This is the fact well known in Germany. There are some good schools in this area since a really good demand you can notice. At the GDR times there were a lot of Embassies in that district and some still stay there after unification.

Lichtenberg as grown urban residential area and Hohenschoenhausen as a satellite town built in the 70s and 80s of 20th century were unified in 2001 to a mutual district.
Both are mainly satellite towns, too but as often there are also the old kernels of the former villages. Marzahn is famous for its socialist architecture, a lot of Russian speaking inhabitants and together with them Russian shops and entertainment, for example discos. But the most famous in Marzahn is the Gardens of the World. It is a very picturesque place with Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and other gardens.
